Gender inequality and discrimination remain among the greatest global challenges. International organizations such as the European Commission and the United Nations are actively working on strategies and initiatives to promote gender equality. However, gender-based prejudices persist, often starting in childhood and having lifelong effects. Girls from economically disadvantaged backgrounds are particularly affected by barriers in education and career opportunities. The aim of this project was to raise awareness among young people about gender equality and equip them with tools to combat discrimination and social pressure. A special focus was placed on addressing online sexism, racism, and bullying. Participants were encouraged to take action for gender equality both online and offline. Through the exchange, participants have gained diverse perspectives, shared best practices, and strengthened their understanding of human rights. The project provided knowledge about existing support systems, rights, and policies promoting gender equality. The ultimate goal of this project to empower young people to actively engage in discussions about equality within their communities and initiate lasting change. Project Objectives The project objectives were to provide practical knowledge and tools to enable participants to: - Understand gender inequality and develop educational initiatives, - Gain modern perspectives on equality and compare approaches in different European countries, - Deepen their knowledge and experience in gender education, - Identify discrimination, exclusion, and bullying, - Become active citizens and volunteers, - Explore the opportunities offered by the Erasmus+ program.
