The implementation of the Migrapreneurs: Building Inclusive Enterprises project aims to empower migrant youth by addressing the systemic barriers they face in accessing opportunities for entrepreneurship and social inclusion. The project harnesses their creativity, resilience, and entrepreneurial drive, enabling them to become active contributors to their local economies and communities. From the perspective of youth work practice, the project pursues the following objectives: Enhancing Entrepreneurial Competences The project provides migrant youth with practical, non-formal education in core areas of entrepreneurship, including business planning, financial management, marketing, and innovation. These skills will equip them with the necessary tools to develop and sustain their own enterprises while fostering economic independence. Fostering Social Inclusion and Equity By addressing socio-economic discrimination and empowering marginalized youth, the project promotes social cohesion and equal opportunities. By intentionally including both migrant and native youth, the project fosters intercultural exchange, mutual understanding, and collaborative problem-solving. This aligns with the principles of youth work, which emphasize inclusion, diversity, and active citizenship, ensuring that all participants—regardless of background—benefit from shared learning and cooperation. Developing Actionable Business Plans Each participant will conclude the project with a structured and feasible business plan. This ensures that the acquired entrepreneurial skills translate into practical and actionable steps, enabling participants to take concrete action toward business creation and self-employment. Encouraging Cultural Entrepreneurship The project highlights migrant cultural heritage as a valuable asset, encouraging participants to integrate their unique identities and traditions into their business ideas. By leveraging cultural entrepreneurship, participants will create businesses that celebrate diversity while fostering economic sustainability. Building Intercultural Dialogue and Sustainable Networks Through collaboration among youth from six partner countries and engagement with schools, startup hubs, and community organizations, the project will facilitate meaningful exchanges and partnerships. Participants will have the opportunity to connect with entrepreneurs, educators, and community leaders, expanding their support systems and laying the foundation for a sustainable cross-border network. This will ensure that participants continue to benefit from peer learning, mentorship, and opportunities for collaboration even after the project ends. Improving Soft Skills and Employability Beyond entrepreneurship, participants will develop critical soft skills such as communication, teamwork, adaptability, and leadership. These competencies enhance employability and long-term professional resilience, ensuring that participants can navigate diverse social and professional environments effectively. Promoting Lifelong Learning and Proactive Mindsets The project embodies the spirit of Erasmus+ by fostering an attitude of continuous learning and adaptability. Through experiential and reflective learning methodologies, participants will be encouraged to see education as a lifelong process essential for personal and professional growth. Stimulating Community and Economic Development By empowering migrant youth to become entrepreneurs, the project will create a positive ripple effect in their communities, contributing to job creation, local economic activity, and stronger representation of migrant culture in business and society.
