By implementing this project, we aim to empower young people to become active citizens who can critically engage with political systems, contribute to societal change, and advocate for inclusive and sustainable solutions to current global and local challenges. Through political education, we want to foster a generation of informed, engaged, and responsible young people who are equipped with the tools and confidence to influence their communities and wider society. The project will focus on developing both their knowledge of political systems and their practical skills for active participation. The specific objectives of the project, from the perspective of youth work practice, are: To enhance participants' knowledge and understanding of political systems at both local and global levels. To promote active citizenship by encouraging young people to engage in their communities and advocate for social, political, and environmental issues. To develop leadership and advocacy skills, equipping participants with the tools to be effective leaders and change-makers. To foster dialogue and cooperation across cultures, encouraging mutual learning and cross-cultural understanding. To support youth participation in democratic processes by providing opportunities to practice decision-making and advocacy. To strengthen the capacity of youth organizations in delivering political education programs and engaging young people in political and social issues. To promote inclusivity and diversity in political participation, ensuring marginalized and underrepresented groups are included. To strengthen youth networks and solidarity by creating a lasting network of politically active young people across Europe. By achieving these objectives, the project will not only contribute to the personal development of the young participants but also strengthen the capacity of organizations to engage young people in political education and active citizenship. Through non-formal learning methods and intercultural exchange, the project will contribute to a more active, informed, and engaged generation of young people who are motivated to create positive change in their communities and beyond.
