When it comes to climate change and environmental disasters it is without a question that strong actions need to be taken to preserve and protect nature. Mentally the youth is most vulnerable to these disasters, they are witnessing the planet that they are supposed to live on for at least next 70 years slowly becoming uninhabitable, the rising temperatures, constant flooding and destruction of human habitats is putting a lot of pressure on youth. With pressure and constant worrying it is easy to start having climate anxiety (84% of youth struggle with it), with climate anxiety comes inaction and our planet can not afford inactiveness. With this project we want to give participants tools, using which they will be able to better understand and better cope with climate anxiety. The participating organisations wish to share their skills when it comes to environmental actions and help participants choose the path they wish to take towards activism. They will be taught how they can use art as a weapon for tackling climate change as well use it to understand and regulate their emotions and mental health. Our objectives incude: Gaining a deeper understanding of climate anxiety and its effects on youth. Exploring diverse actions that can be taken to combat climate change within various communities and on an international scale. Balancing mental health with active participation in environmental matters. Demonstrating how art can serve as a therapeutic tool and a means of advocacy. Creating a vibrant network among youth passionate about environmental issues. Connecting participants with individuals who are actively working to combat the climate crisis. Encouraging participants to develop leadership skills that will enable them to advocate for environmental issues in their communities. Providing tools for effective communication about climate change, allowing participants to articulate their concerns and inspire others to take action. We believe that this project will not only benefit the youth participating in it but also organisations will gain new experience and skills, communities, local and international people will receive help from the youth and the path towards climate action will become more clear.
