The project ‘Online Smart: Create, Engage, Protect’ brought together five youth organisations: DASEIN e.V (Germany), in the role of the applicant and hosting organisation of the mobility of young people, and the partners - Karate Klub Metalurg (North Macedonia), Bosphorus Education Culture and Development Association (Türkiye), FONDATSIYA KURAZH (Bulgaria) and BACKSLASH (Spain). Online Smart: Create, Engage, Protect sought to empower young people to use their smartphones and digital tools in a conscious, creative, and educational way—transforming them from passive consumers into active digital creators, critical thinkers, and responsible online citizens. The youth exchange was realized in the line with the following objectives: - Teach young people how to use smartphones as tools for learning and skill development, including mobile photography, video editing, research, and digital collaboration. - Inspire digital literacy skills, ensuring participants could critically assess online content, navigate digital spaces safely, and protect their personal data. - Promote creative and meaningful online engagement, encouraging young people to create educational content, social campaigns, and interactive media that sparked positive change. - Develop youth-led social media initiatives, where participants applied their skills to launch awareness campaigns on topics that mattered to them. - Provide strategies for managing screen time and digital well-being, helping young people find a balance between digital and offline life. - Explore the Erasmus+ programme and the opportunities it offers. Equipped with practical digital skills, responsible online behaviors, and content creation techniques, participants left the project as active change agents who could inspire their peers to use technology wisely, creatively, and for positive impact in their communities.
