Objectives

The project “Create, Share, Inspire” (CSI) was designed to respond to the growing importance of digital competences in the personal, educational and professional lives of young people. While digital technologies, artificial intelligence and online learning platforms create many new opportunities, not all young people have equal access to these tools or the confidence and knowledge needed to use them safely, critically and effectively. This is particularly relevant for young people facing economic, social or geographical barriers, who may have fewer opportunities to participate in international mobility, access digital education or develop employability-related competences. The main aim of the project was therefore to empower young people to become more confident, responsible, creative and independent users of digital technologies. The project aimed to move participants beyond passive consumption of online content and support them in becoming active digital citizens who can use technology for learning, communication, creativity, self development and career planning. The specific objectives of the project were: - to improve participants’ digital literacy and introduce them to practical digital tools that can support education, personal development, productivity and employability; - to increase participants’ understanding of artificial intelligence and demonstrate how AI-based tools can be used responsibly for learning, brainstorming, communication and content creation; - to strengthen awareness of online safety, digital privacy, cyberbullying, scams, identity theft and the protection of personal data; - to develop participants’ critical thinking skills so that they could evaluate online information, digital resources and media content more carefully and recognise unreliable or misleading information; - to support participants in identifying and presenting their personal strengths, developing their digital identity and improving their self-presentation and career-building competences; - to stimulate creativity and problem-solving through practical assignments, international teamwork and the use of digital and artistic methods; - to improve communication, teamwork, leadership, presentation and cooperation skills through participatory non-formal education methods; - to increase participants’ confidence, independence, initiative and motivation for lifelong learning; - to promote inclusion by ensuring that young people with fewer opportunities could participate fully and receive the practical, educational and personal support they needed; - to foster intercultural understanding, tolerance and respect by bringing together young people from Germany, Croatia, Romania and North Macedonia; - to raise awareness of Erasmus+ opportunities and encourage participants to remain active in youth mobility, volunteering, non-formal education and community initiatives; - to create a practical digital result, developed with the contribution of the participants, that could also be used by other young people and youth organisations after the exchange. The project was closely connected to the Erasmus+ priorities of digital transformation and inclusion and diversity. It also promoted participation, intercultural dialogue, equality, non-discrimination, respect for diversity and cooperation between young people from different cultural and social backgrounds. The intended outcome was a group of young people who felt better prepared to navigate the digital world, protect themselves online, use technology for their future development and share their learning with peers in their local communities. These objectives were fully consistent with the themes selected in the application: digital literacy, artificial intelligence and data usage, and digital safety and data protection.
