The project aims to strengthen youth workers’ capacities in countering populism, misinformation, and democratic disengagement by providing them with practical tools, digital resources, and structured non-formal education methodologies. The project will equip youth workers with theoretical knowledge, digital tools, and advocacy skills to enhance their youth work practices, ensuring that young people develop critical thinking, media literacy, and active citizenship competencies. The main objectives of the project are: - Develop political literacy among youth workers by providing structured training on political ideologies, populism, and democratic participation to enhance their ability to educate young people on political systems and narratives. - Strengthen media literacy and counter misinformation by equipping youth workers with fact-checking tools and methodologies to help young people critically analyze political information and resist manipulative narratives. - Create educational materials to enhance youth work practice, including three short educational videos (up to 3 minutes each) on political ideologies, misinformation, and populism, ensuring sustainable and accessible learning resources. - Promote the use of digital tools in political education, ensuring that youth workers integrate ideological compasses, fact-checking tools, and online engagement strategies into their youth work methodologies. - Increase youth participation in democratic processes by training youth workers to engage young people in civic participation, advocacy, and political discussions. - Ensure visibility and impact of Erasmus+ and non-formal political education by sharing project results with youth organizations, digital platforms, and international youth networks to promote best practices in countering populism. Through a structured 8-day long training course, practical digital tools, and widespread dissemination, the project will enhance the quality and innovation of political education in youth work, ensuring sustainable impact and long-term engagement in democratic participation.
