Objectives

The "Water Matters" project addresses the critical need for environmental conservation by empowering youth workers to become effective agents of change in their communities. Through this project, youth workers will gain the knowledge, skills, and resources necessary to engage and inspire young people to take meaningful action on environmental issues, with a particular focus on water conservation and pollution prevention. The project has four main objectives: Building Youth Worker Capacity: Enhance the capacity of youth workers in promoting environmental conservation and sustainable water management. Increasing Youth Awareness: Raise awareness among young people about the critical importance of water sustainability and environmental conservation. Community-Based Projects: Develop and implement community-based projects that promote water sustainability and environmental conservation. Building Partnerships: Foster partnerships and collaborations among youth workers, community leaders, and other stakeholders to support sustainable water management practices. The project will achieve the following results: Development and implementation of community-based Water Matters projects. Publication of a comprehensive Water Matters Training Manual. Regularly produced and shared video updates of the project's progress. Establishment of an efficient email communication group for collaboration. This project directly enhances youth work practices by equipping youth workers with the knowledge, skills, and resources to effectively engage young people in environmental conservation. The project is particularly relevant to communities facing significant water-related challenges, such as limited access to safe drinking water and inadequate sanitation facilities. In conclusion, our project is committed to making a positive impact on the environment and the future of youth by equipping them with essential skills, nurturing leadership qualities, and promoting sustainable development.
