Objectives

The idea of the project is to organize a Training Course for youth workers, centered around the five pillars of positive psychology, known as PERMA (Positive Emotion, Engagement, Relationships, Meaning, and Accomplishments). This framework will be integrated with various techniques, such as art therapy and meditation etc, to create a holistic approach to mental well-being. The participating youth workers would keep new equipment for their work with the youth and themselves. The objectives: 1. Shifting perspectives by focusing on well-being-enhancing practices and appreciating life’s positive aspects. Youth workers experience a new perspective to look at their lives from the perspective of positive psychology. And are encouraged and motivated to teach this perspective to the youth. 2. Understanding and experiencing the five pillars of Positive Psychology and their role in supporting youth workers to enhance mental well-being. Youth workers are familiar with the five pillars of wellbeing in Positive Psychology (PERMA; positive emotion, engagement, relations, meaning, acceptance). They feel confident to use these five pillars in their field to improve the overall mental wellbeing of their youth. 3. Integrating new techniques as practical tools for fostering resilience and emotional regulation in young people. Youth workers have experienced and understand the importance of focusing on strengths, skills, talents and success. They know how to support their youth clients to identify these assets in their lives. And how to motivate their clients to broaden and expand these assets into a fulfilling life
