Objectives

By implementing this project, we aim to strengthen the intercultural competencies of youth workers in the field of migration and promote a sustainable exchange of best practices in social inclusion. The participating organizations have recognized that youth workers increasingly work with diverse groups and face the challenge of developing new approaches to intercultural education. The goal of this project is to equip participants with tools and methods to better engage young people from different social and cultural backgrounds and to foster their participation. A key component of the project is the practical exchange between professionals from Germany, France, and Turkey, who bring different approaches to youth work in the field of migration. Through shared experiences, new perspectives on challenges such as social exclusion, discrimination, and limited participation opportunities will emerge. Participants will learn how to handle intercultural tensions, use diversity as a resource, and empower young people in their sense of self-efficacy. Furthermore, the project aims to develop innovative methods that can be applied in daily work with young migrants and refugees. Participants will reflect on their own professional practices, test new approaches, and adapt them to their respective contexts. The close collaboration between partner organizations will create a sustainable network that will continue beyond the project's duration and contribute to the long-term improvement of international youth work. On the long run, the project aims to help sensibilise professionals to the challenges of an increasingly pluralistic society and show them concrete options for action. The results will be documented and passed on in the form of the interactive methods platform interludo (https://interludo.online/) in order to support not only the participants themselves, but also other youth work professionals in their professional work. The methods and approaches can then be further developed, supplemented or commented on interactively on this methods platform.
