The "Basecamp" is a participatory competence center designed to foster a diverse and inclusive landscape of youth participation in the Dachau district. It provides young people, regardless of their social, cultural, or economic background, with the opportunity to actively shape their environment. Through accessible formats, democratic competencies, political education, and intercultural dialogue are strengthened. The Basecamp connects existing structures such as youth groups and organizations, supports them in their democratization and project implementation, and creates new opportunities for participation. The focus is on the municipal, community, and school environment. The goal is to enable all young people to participate at the local, national, and European levels while sustainably strengthening democracy and civil society.
