The project aims to increase the involvement of young people in the decision-making process, create spaces for dialogue which strengthens democratic values in the rural & peripheral communities of the partners involved. We can't have a strong democracy without addressing the issues of equality, equity and non-discrimination, so the local activities and youth exchanges will aim to deepen the understanding of these values and actions to bring about change in the communities of the young people involved. The transnational development helps us to bridge participants with the European context, and the partners local context, as this theme of local and personal democracy is explored. The objectives are: - empower rural & peripheral youth as democratic actors - strengthen democratic values in rural communities. - as youth organisations, facilitate youth action - connect young people to a personal sense of and role in democracy, locally and in the European/global context.
