Objectives

This project will pilot a Foundation Course bridging the PDC and Diploma, strengthening educator capacity. It will enhance expertise in forest gardens, biodiversity, and water resilience through expert-led training. PKDK will scale sociocratic governance to foster participatory decision-making. An invited expert will train educators in AI-driven digital tools for designing information-rich systems, enhancing landscape analysis, spatial planning, and permaculture decision-making.

Background

PKDK expands access to structured permaculture education, strengthens LAND site learning, and fosters inclusive governance. Many students struggle to progress beyond the Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC) to the Diploma. By integrating European expertise and sociocratic methods, PKDK aims to create clearer learning pathways, deepen applied knowledge, and build regenerative communities. Additionally, PKDK will explore AI and digital tools to improve permaculture design and land-use planning
