( Same as above)With this project we want to carry out learning activities for the professional development of our youth workers and our organisations. The aim is to enhance youth worker’s knowledge and skills concerning youth employment and cultural exchange in our region, so that they can apply them within the frame of their own organisations, and thus transfer the learnt lessons to the local community. We believe that this project can improve the quality of youth work at all levels, from local to international level. The objective is to equip participating youth workers with new skills and tools to work with young people, e.g. reflection tools and techniques, digital visualisation and interactive methods. The project will result in new innovative ideas in the field of youth, with new methods of non-formal learning within three different focus areas. The first target area is youth work focused on employment, employability of youth and youth mobility, building on our experience with our Nordic labour mobility project “Nordjobb” and Interregproject “Nordic Joblösning” and “Nordfokus”. The second area involves cultural exchange, focused on languages and education, building on previous experiences from the educational platform “Norden I Skolen”. The area focuses on new networks and partnership, and how we can create a platform to communicate with existing- and new youth actors in the region. Through the project we can share experiences, methods, and ways of interacting and engaging youth. Especially new methods of engaging the youth in the youth work, creating interactive spaces where the youth feels empowered to have an impact on democratic society. In a long-term perspective, the goal is that the upskilling of the youth workers, will trickle down and result in personal- and professional growth of the youth in our projects. We are convinced that the youth that we are engaging with will benefit from this project and can be involved along the way. As part of the long-term impact of the project, the youth involvement toolbox, created during the PDAs, will play a major role. The toolbox for youth involvement will be an online document, accessible online via the FNF website and the partner organisations website, and it will be “alive” in the sense that it can be updated and built upon . The toolbox consists of lessons learned from the six activities, including methods to work with youth involvement in various ways and sectors. The toolbox will be accessible for everyone and will consist of cases from real life. We imagine that the toolbox will amongst other things include communication models, voices from youth themselves, example of exercises for active listening but also concrete guides for setting up new youth partnership. We are also aware that along the way, this might be impacted by internal or external factors, and the toolbox might end up in another format or with slightly different content. Finally, our objective is to create a community of youth workers in our region and develop the local youth work practices. This will take form of seminars and workshop, supporting knowledge building and best practices sharing linked to the EU Youth Strategy. Through the Professional Development Activities, we can share experiences and together find solutions to common local challenges
