Objectives

The project aims to address the lack of conflict management skills and knowledge on how to respond to humanitarian crises among youth workers by achieving the following objectives: Enhance understanding and application of humanitarian principles during crises, such as needs assessment, logistics, and psychological first aid. Train youth workers in effective conflict management and resolution techniques, including negotiation, mediation, and dialogue facilitation. Raise knowledge on international humanitarian law and principles. Promote mutual understanding and tolerance among youth workers coming from diverse cultural and ethnic groups in regions affected by conflict. Reduce stereotypes and biases that exacerbate tensions through intercultural dialogue. Foster collaboration among organizations, institutions, and individuals working in conflict management and humanitarian assistance across the targeted regions. Create opportunities for youth workers to learn from each other’s experiences in managing conflicts and responding to crises. Equip youth workers with leadership skills to become peacebuilders in their regions.
