The "Journey to Participation – Lessons from Malta to Muhu" project achieved its objective of strengthening youth participation in decision-making by equipping youth workers and municipal officials with practical tools and competences. Through learning from Malta’s best practices, participants were able to adapt these models to Muhu’s context and initiate sustainable youth engagement structures. The project’s main objectives were to learn from Malta’s best practices in youth participation, adapt these models to Muhu’s context, and implement sustainable youth engagement structures. By fostering collaboration between youth workers and local authorities, the project seeks to create a more structured, inclusive, and longterm approach to youth participation in rural and island communities. Through non-formal learning, peer exchange, and hands-on experiences, participants will gain new skills and competences to enhance their daily youth work practice and advocate for stronger youth involvement in governance.
