"Young Today, Decision-Maker Tomorrow!" is an initiative by the Toila Youth Council to address the challenges of the 2025 local elections and administrative reform, which will merge Toila and Jõhvi municipalities into a single local government. The project's goal is to ensure that young people are not excluded from decision-making but are informed, active, and influential in shaping local policies. The project includes several key activities. A video campaign will be created to raise awareness among young people and the wider public about elections and administrative reform. A candidate debate will allow youth to question candidates and analyze different policy choices. A participation café will map young people's expectations for the new municipality, leading to concrete proposals for decision-makers. Additionally, Youth Council development days will be held to establish a strong participation model, ensuring youth representation and influence in the newly formed local government.
