The main goal of the project is to broaden the worldview of young people with fewer opportunities, develop their social and intercultural skills, and support their self-confidence and independence in an international environment. Through this project, we provide young people with the opportunity to participate in a DiscoverEU learning mobility experience, which they would otherwise not be able to access due to financial, geographical, or social barriers. From a youth work perspective, the project focuses on active participation, non-formal learning, and increasing the independence of young people. Participants gain practical international experience, which helps them improve their language skills, communication, and teamwork abilities, while also increasing their awareness of European cultural diversity and values. Additionally, it is essential to develop young people's problem-solving skills and adaptability, as traveling exposes them to various situations that require independent decision-making and responsibility. Throughout the project, we support them in this process by providing mentoring and practical tools for self-analysis and reflection. Promoting an environmentally sustainable mindset is also a key aspect of the project. Young people learn about green travel and sustainable lifestyle choices, exploring how sustainability is promoted in different European countries and how they can apply these practices in their daily lives. As part of the project, we use the Youthpass to help participants consciously reflect on their learning experiences and develop their skills, which will support their future opportunities in education, employment, and social life. By the end of the project, we aim for young people to feel more confident and aware European citizens, ready to engage both locally and internationally. The goal of the project is not only to provide young people with an opportunity to travel but also to support their personal growth, self-discovery, and ability to initiate independent projects in the future, enabling them to take an active role in society.
