Objectives

The aim is to develop young people's ability to manage personal and social relationships, to create learning opportunities and develop new skills for young participants. Our aim is to encourage a positive atmosphere in the group and at the same time to create and strengthen the ability of young people to consider risk, make reasoned decisions and take control. All activities are based on non-formal learning techniques as in this context the promotion of non-formal and informal learning mobility and active participation among young people strengthens basic skills and cultivates metacognitive ones. The principle of cooperation, quality, inclusion, creativity and innovation is firmly built at the level of organizations and policies in the youth sector as organizations and units of people are connected, building an inclusive and strongly collaborative community. This project supports key principles in the field of youth work as its work promotes positive relationships of trust that can provide the basis for improving well-being, through the five pillars of youth work: free expression, education, participation, empowerment and inclusion. Youth exchanges are particularly suitable for the participation of young people with fewer opportunities because group mobility offers an international mobility experience within the security of a group and the short duration of youth exchanges makes them suitable for the participation of young people with fewer opportunities. The involvement of local participants also facilitates the first participation in European projects and strengthens the sense of belonging. Youth exchanges are also suitable for pursuing integration and diversity as project objectives, such as, for example, supporting the fight against stereotypes, enhancing understanding, tolerance and non-discrimination. For these reasons, this exchange was designed and planned for a group of 36 members with the participation of 24 young people with fewer opportunities and disabilities from island areas with the support of their trainers and volunteer companions. Political activism, street work, sports activities, social and environmental actions and leisure activities are part of the daily activities of the project in the framework of workshops. It is important to emphasize that youth workers also play a crucial role in the lives of many young people. The aim is to offer fun, a sense of strong structure and a whole range of new opportunities to the people they will work with, broadening their horizons, strengthening their social skills and giving them a place to simply be themselves. We also aim to equip and empower young people to further develop their skills & fully exploit their potential for themselves, their communities and society as a whole. The general objectives of the program identify desirable outcomes for youth participation and the specific objectives of the program concern: 1. Highlighting the uniqueness of life on the islands: Analyzing the positive and negative aspects. 2. Empowering young people: Providing tools and skills to address challenges. 3.
