The idea of implementing the "Make it by your own" project, submitted by the informal group Young Guardians, was created as a follow-up to a previous youth exchange that took place about 1.5 years ago and which concerned youth entrepreneurship based on modern environments. What we now want to achieve through this project is to bring together 28 young people from 4 different countries (7 from each country), so that they can actively experience in an active way perspectives of an everyday life different from the one they are used to. Specifically, the project partners are 4, from Greece, Romania, Bulgaria and Spain, while the project participants are 7 from each country, with a team leader and a general coordinator from Greece. More specifically, we aim to organize an educational youth exchange, where young people living in big cities in Europe, visit a remote area of Greece and experience new forms of youth entrepreneurship based on history and culture. We believe that this particular youth exchange, which is organised to take place in Geraki Laconia, will be a unique transformative experience for all those who participate with a strong long-term impact on their way of thinking and acting. The original nature of this youth exchange as discussed between the partners will fully highlight the cultural character of the place, young people will develop new entrepreneurial skills and competences and understand different ways of life. The tradition will teach us aspects of entrepreneurship we have not thought of and bring us closer to nature, values and traditions. The active participation of young people in manual work will show a new realm of entrepreneurial reality and help them to interact more effectively in a different socio-cultural environment. Due to the fact that we live in an ever-changing everyday life, in which there is a storm of information and technological developments, we believe that experiencing together a project that focuses on green entrepreneurship and social entrepreneurship will help us to become active and mature citizens of tomorrow. The objectives of the plan as discussed so far are oriented towards: Promoting sustainable lifestyles and practices through relevant actions. Raising awareness among active entrepreneurs in order to inform and advise young people who wish to become active in the field of agri-business and the social economy. Improving foreign language communication through the development of language and communication skills. Promote and strengthen the local community at economic, social and environmental level through the activities to be implemented. Promoting sustainability and innovation in the field of entrepreneurship. Increase incentives for young people to participate in future informal learning programmes and mobility abroad. Develop sustainable business ideas through innovative ideas and organic products. Reducing the environmental footprint and enhancing sustainable business development. Developing environmental awareness. Getting to know the agri-food business model as an alternative form of business activity. Promoting cultural understanding and respect. Fostering creativity and innovation. Building a stronger network for the implementation of future Erasmus+ programmes. An integrated approach to education by combining theory with practice, innovation with tradition and local with global culture. Taking into account the social and environmental impact of the effects of climate change, we came up with the idea of presenting more alternative ways of economic and business development. Thus through the implementation of this youth exchange we want to encourage young people as the new generation of entrepreneurs. Through the achievement of all the aforementioned objectives, we will be able to provide young people with the skills and competences they need to become more active and engaged citizens. We believe that, as a result of the implementation of this project, young people will be more confident in taking initiatives and will be more informed about the events of contemporary reality, which will improve their critical thinking as well as other social skills. Clearly, the project will also make a significant contribution to the social, environmental and economic development of the local area. However, its dynamism combined with the effective and efficient dissemination of its results can further help local communities in the places where the partner organisations operate.
