Objectives

The main objective of this project is to empower young people with critical thinking, communication, and public speaking skills through non-formal education, theatre-based learning, and intercultural exchange. By implementing this youth exchange, we aim to foster open-mindedness, media literacy, and analytical reasoning, enabling young people to form objective opinions, engage in meaningful debates, and challenge misinformation. One of the primary goals of this project is to develop critical thinking skills among young people. In today’s digital era, many struggle with evaluating information objectively, as they are often influenced by social media, biases, and misinformation. Through the TEATER simulation game and non-formal education workshops, participants will learn to assess different perspectives, question assumptions, and form well-structured arguments, equipping them with the necessary tools to navigate modern information landscapes effectively. Another key objective is to enhance public speaking and debate competencies. Fear of public speaking is one of the biggest barriers to self-expression among young people, preventing them from engaging in discussions, sharing their perspectives, and advocating for change. The project will provide practical experience in public speaking, argumentation, and structured dialogue through debate activities, role-playing exercises, and theatre-based learning, enabling participants to overcome anxiety and communicate confidently. This project also aims to foster intercultural understanding and inclusion by bringing together participants from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. Through team-based exercises, storytelling, and creative workshops, young people will engage in meaningful intercultural dialogue, learning to respect differences, challenge stereotypes, and embrace diversity. Working in mixed-nationality teams will help them develop empathy, adaptability, and cross-cultural communication skills, making them more inclusive and open-minded in their personal and professional lives. Encouraging active participation and youth advocacy is another essential component of this project. Many young people feel disengaged from political and social matters, believing their voices do not matter. This project aims to equip them with skills to engage in civic life, empowering them to participate in community decision-making, youth-led initiatives, and advocacy work. By gaining a deeper understanding of democratic values and European youth policies, participants will be encouraged to become active citizens who contribute to positive change in their communities. A significant focus of the project is to promote non-formal education in youth work. Traditional education methods often fail to engage young people effectively, especially those with fewer opportunities or alternative learning needs. The project will demonstrate how non-formal education methodologies, such as simulation games, theatre techniques, storytelling, and team-based activities, can create more engaging, accessible, and impactful learning experiences. These methods will not only be used during the project but also be introduced as tools for youth workers, educators, and trainers to implement in their own communities. Beyond skills, the project seeks to build confidence and personal growth among participants. Many young people face self-doubt, low confidence, and difficulties in expressing themselves, which limit their opportunities in education, employment, and social life. The activities designed in this project will push them out of their comfort zones, improve self-awareness, and strengthen self-esteem, helping them become more confident in sharing their ideas and opinions in different settings. To ensure the sustainability of the project, the creation of youth work resources is a key objective. The development of the "BOOKLET: Beyond Words" will serve as a tangible educational resource for youth workers, educators, and trainers, providing insights into the methods used in the project, best practices, and reflections from participants. This resource will allow partner organizations and other youth initiatives to replicate and adapt the project’s methodologies for future youth exchanges, training courses, and educational programs. Additionally, participants will be encouraged to organize local follow-up workshops and dissemination events, ensuring that the project’s impact extends beyond the mobility itself.
