Objectives

The GreenHarvest project aims to enhance the capacity of youth workers to integrate sustainability, circular economy principles, and zero-waste farming practices into youth work, equipping them with the necessary knowledge and tools to support young people in environmental education and green entrepreneurship. By focusing on practical, experience-based learning, the project seeks to bridge the gap between sustainability policies and real-world applications in youth work, ensuring that youth organizations play an active role in the green transition and climate action. The main objectives of the project from a youth work perspective include: -Providing youth workers with the knowledge and skills to integrate circular economy principles, zero-waste strategies, and green entrepreneurship into their activities with young people. -Developing innovative and practical non-formal education methods that empower youth organizations to lead sustainability-focused initiatives and training programs. -Fostering peer learning and international cooperation among youth workers, enabling the exchange of best practices and experiences from different European contexts. -Creating educational resources and sustainable youth work practices that will continue beyond the project, ensuring long-term impact in the field of youth work and sustainability education. -Encouraging youth organizations to adopt sustainable operational models, reducing their environmental footprint while increasing their capacity to guide young people in developing eco-social initiatives. -Through these objectives, GreenHarvest aims to equip youth workers with practical skills and educational strategies, enabling them to inspire and mentor young people in sustainability and green entrepreneurship while strengthening the role of youth organizations in Europe’s sustainability agenda.
