This project will help to equip youth workers with the needed competencies, tools, and methodologies to support young people facing mental health problems and foster civic engagement. In the light of the above, we implement this project in an effort to close the gap that exists between being aware of one's mental health and acting as a young active citizen, enabling youth workers to effectively support young people in building emotional resilience, self-advocacy, and social responsibility. From the youth work practice point of view, the objectives of the project are: -Improvement of knowledge and competencies related to mental health support among the youth workers: The project will provide them with deeper knowledge concerning the challenges for mental health, such as stress, anxiety, and social isolation, faced by young people, through non-formal education, combined with methods of experiential learning, they will receive tools that might help in enhancing emotional resilience and promoting well-being, providing safety and support to young people. -Integrate mental health advocacy into youth work by training the youth workers in ways to combine the approach with their daily activities and encourage the young people in understanding the essence of mental health and talking about it. Methods for identifying early signs for seeking help and connecting young people to further resources will be provided within this project. -Strengthening non-formal education methodologies within youth work. The project will provide novel and inspiring forms of creative non-formal learning-approaches such as storytelling, theater-based learning, mindfulness exercises, debate sessions-which the youth will easily transfer and use in their daily life. This kind of methodology will also enable youth workers to create activities for young people that are attractive and inclusive, contribute to emotional well-being, and encourage civic participation. -Encouraging Youth to Participate in Civic Life. In providing the youth worker with the right to include civic engagement in the work, young people will gain the right to be active citizens who can express their opinions on matters that interest them and, therefore, join discussions and decisions that affect their lives. Their training will provide the youth with the means for community action of policy-related events and interactive workshops to raise voices at the local, national, and European level. -Development of Digital and Communication Skills for Mental Health Promotion. The project will also consider the fact that most youths are on digital platforms, so it will train youth workers in the creation and management of social media campaigns. This shall be through the development of digital storytelling, video content development, and strategies for social networking to pass positive messages on mental health and civic engagement. -Sustainability of a Network of Youth Workers and Organizations. This will increase the collaboration among the youth workers and organizations from different parts of Europe, sharing best practices, tools, and strategies. It must be a network that will keep on learning from and supporting each other for the effectiveness of the project beyond the dates of activities.
