Our project aims to empower young people from Greece who face geographical, economic, and social obstacles by providing them access to experiences of sustainable mobility and intercultural exchange. Through DiscoverEU, we aspire to help them overcome the barriers of their daily lives, develop life skills and environmental awareness, and strengthen their sense of belonging to the European community. Objectives: 1) Eliminate geographical, social, and economic barriers that limit young people's participation in international mobility programs. 2) Cultivate life skills, such as collaboration, critical thinking, and adaptability, through non-formal learning activities. 3) Enhance environmental awareness and responsibility through sustainable practices and activities. 4) Create an intercultural experience that promotes inclusion, solidarity, and cooperation among young people from diverse backgrounds. 5) Strengthen the European identity and the sense of belonging to the European Union by exploring shared values and opportunities. Our project employs participatory and experiential methods that place young people at the heart of the process. The organization integrates non-formal learning practices that encourage autonomy, the development of life skills, and active youth participation. At the same time, through collaboration with mentors, the design of sustainable activities, and the use of reflection tools, we ensure that participants will identify and utilize their learning outcomes. The project serves as a model for inclusion and empowerment, equipping young people with the tools to take an active role in their communities and the broader European society.
