Objectives

The "Green Nomads" project aims to provide a transformative educational experience for two groups of five 18-year-old participants from rural areas of Greece, where access to non-formal learning and sustainability education is limited. Through a 14-day DiscoverEU rail journey across Italy and France, participants will explore sustainable practices, enhance their digital literacy, and foster cultural understanding. The project empowers young people with fewer opportunities by combining travel with structured learning, mentoring, and reflection sessions to ensure meaningful educational outcomes. Led by a group leader, participants will engage with local communities, conduct research on sustainability, and develop soft and digital skills. By sharing their experiences through social media, presentations, and community engagement, they will raise awareness about sustainability and the opportunities offered by Erasmus+. Green Nomads promotes social inclusion by enabling young people with fewer opportunities to participate in international mobility on an equal footing with their peers. The project encourages independence, cultural exchange, and critical thinking while equipping participants with the skills and confidence needed for future education and career opportunities.
