Through this project, we want to provide young people aged 18-21 with fewer opportunities the chance to travel abroad using Interrail, many for the first time. In our region, we have observed that many young people face economic, social, or geographical barriers that limit their ability to participate in mobility experiences. Recognizing the importance of the DiscoverEU Inclusion Action, we see it as a vital tool in making these opportunities accessible and sustainable. By offering structured and inclusive travel, we aim to ensure that those who would otherwise be excluded can explore Europe, gain independence, and develop essential life skills. A core objective of this project is to immerse participants in diverse European cultures, promoting mutual understanding and respect. Through direct engagement with different communities, participants will have the chance to challenge stereotypes, broaden their perspectives, and develop an appreciation for the cultural richness of Europe. This emphasis on experiential learning fosters open-mindedness and intercultural dialogue, key elements in strengthening a shared European identity. Beyond cultural awareness, we want participants to develop practical skills that will enhance their independence, adaptability, and problem-solving abilities. By guiding them through travel logistics, the use of digital tools, and budgeting, we aim to prepare them for future mobility experiences. Sustainability is also central to our approach, as participants will primarily use trains as a means of transport, reflecting on the environmental impact of travel and embracing eco-friendly practices that encourage responsible tourism. The project is also designed to facilitate the personal and professional growth of participants. Facing the challenges and opportunities of independent travel will enhance their decision-making skills, intercultural communication, and resilience. Additionally, their involvement in planning and dissemination activities will provide valuable experience in project management, teamwork, and public speaking—skills that are highly relevant in youth work and beneficial for their personal and professional development. Furthermore, this initiative will serve as a platform for cross-cultural dialogue, where young people can exchange ideas, share their experiences, and learn from one another. By fostering these connections, we hope to break down cultural stereotypes and promote European solidarity, ensuring that participants develop a lasting sense of belonging within the broader European community. At the same time, this project allows us to refine our youth work methodologies, adapting our approaches to better support young people facing diverse challenges. By working closely with participants, we aim to improve our practices in inclusion, mentorship, and mobility facilitation, ensuring that future initiatives are even more responsive and impactful. Through this initiative, we are committed to developing and sharing best practices in youth work that emphasize experiential learning, participant-led initiatives, and community engagement. By documenting and disseminating our experiences, we hope to contribute to the broader field of youth work, strengthening the effectiveness of mobility programs across Europe and empowering a new generation of informed, responsible, and interconnected young Europeans
