Objectives

The aim is to train 13 technicians in agrotourism models that can be replicated in Jaén in order to transfer this knowledge to more than 5,500 farmers advised by COAG-Jaén. The aim is to promote economic diversification, sustainability, rural entrepreneurship and generational renewal by facilitating new business opportunities for young entrepreneurs in the olive sector, encouraging them to settle in the villages and thus improving the resilience and sustainability of the rural environment.

Background

COAG-Jaén has requested this project to train its technicians in agro-tourism as a strategy for economic diversification in the olive sector. Dependence on monoculture, climate change and the lack of generational renewal make it necessary to explore models that complement agricultural activity. Mobility will make it possible to learn about successful experiences in Italy and adapt innovative solutions to the reality of Jaén, while providing an opportunity to keep young people in rural areas.
