Nowadays, many of the people we know have felt overwhelmed at work at some point. In fact, in 2022, 27% of workers in the European Union suffered from stress, depression and anxiety, according to data provided by the European Commission and the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA) in one of his latest reports. Improving the safety and health of the working population is one of the priorities of the European Union and to achieve this it is essential to involve the young population in the process. “Boundaries for a Healthy Mindset” will be a youth exchange dedicated to addressing the importance of establishing healthy boundaries, especially in the workplace, and managing possible conflicts arising from violations thereof. As well as promoting mental health in the professional field, which is essential to prevent burnout and other psychosocial problems. By carrying out the exchange we seek to achieve the following objectives: • Raise awareness among young people about the importance of mental health in the workplace. • Introduce self-care techniques that help maintain mental well-being and reinforce personal boundaries. • Encourage the development of social skills that promote open communication and mutual respect among team members. • Empower participants to advocate for their needs and rights in professional settings. • Create disseminated materials aimed at increasing the mental well-being of young Europeans, with a focus on the work environment. • Promote the Erasmus+ program and its opportunities for training, development and non-formal education, fostering an environment conducive to learning and exchange of perspectives. During the days of “Boundaries for a Healthy Mindset” we will create a supportive environment in which participants can share experiences and learn from each other. Through non-formal methodologies and interactive activities, young people will have the opportunity to develop a series of behaviors and skills that are fundamental for their personal and professional growth. They will return to their countries better able to face challenges without compromising their mental health. Thanks to the initiatives to give greater visibility to “Boundaries for a Healthy Mindset” and the dissemination of its results, we will achieve a relevant and sustainable impact not only on the young population, but also on the European society in general.
