The project ‘Raise the Ball, Stop Exclusion’ aims to raise awareness among young people in Spain, Italy and North Macedonia about human trafficking and social inclusion using basketball as a tool for integration and empowerment. The key objectives from a youth work perspective are: Raise awareness of human trafficking and vulnerable groups by informing and educating young people and their communities about the risks and impact of human trafficking. Promote social inclusion through sport, using basketball as a means to break down cultural barriers and create a safe space for collaboration and mutual respect. Empower young people as agents of change, providing them with the tools and knowledge to lead inclusion initiatives in their communities. Reduce stigma towards vulnerable communities by fostering attitudes of equality, empathy and respect to combat prejudice and discrimination. This initiative is aligned with the objectives of Erasmus+, as it promotes intercultural understanding, active citizenship and the use of non-formal education methods to address critical social challenges.
