The theme chosen for this project is to work on Values focused on four fundamental axes which are: Ecological awareness, healthy lifestyle, European cultures and prejudices. Through these four sub-themes we will work on different skills and objectives such as: improving empathy, social and communication skills or learning to live together, dialogue, reaching consensus and agreements. On a practical level we will focus the project by working on four sub-themes to which we will dedicate two days for each of them: - Ecological awareness: Activities will be carried out for the development of ecological skills, this will be done through activities in the natural environment, visiting protected areas and leading a sustainable lifestyle - Healthy lifestyle: emphasizing the importance of sport, healthy eating and emotional health. This project will be very active, avoiding a sedentary lifestyle and promoting leisure based on movement and sport. The diet will be varied and healthy, avoiding processed and ultra-processed products. Finally, mindfulness activities and emotional and artistic expression dynamics will provide participants with guidelines to improve their emotional health. - European cultures: Cultural nights and experiencing customs and popular games from different places will be frequent during the project. In addition, participants will meet and live with people from different countries and preparing activities that show their customs to the rest of the participants will force them to do a work of introspection in their own culture. - Prejudices: This sub-theme will be worked on both at the beginning and at the end of the project. The aim is to see the initial perception that each participant has of the rest of the young people and how this first impression has changed at the end through coexistence. For this project we set the following objectives: - Cooperate and learn to work as a team. - Learn to tolerate and understand different opinions, reaching positive agreements. - Resolve and help resolve conflicts that may arise. - Promote peer learning. - Discover the realities of other peers who live in a different country. - Improve foreign language skills through practice. - Generate awareness of globalization and, in turn, of the identity traits that each population maintains. - Create life experiences that help the personal development of the youth participating in the project. - Stimulate interest in art and culture of their own and of visiting countries. - Learn to transmit knowledge through leadership in dynamics and activities. To conclude this section we will justify the needs that this project can cover. The municipality of Calvià is located in Mallorca and the fact of living on an island makes travel within the national and international territory difficult. To all this we add that public transport within the island itself is insufficient and not very operational, and we only have the bus as the only means of transport in the municipality of Calvià, since rail transport does not cover this area of the island. The consequences of transport problems are diverse, such as the difficulty of getting around, which means that groups are closed off and there is a limited circle of young people. Through this youth exchange project, we aim to expand the circle of contacts of those who participate, with the aim of achieving personal growth and ensuring that our youth acquire all kinds of new skills, as well as meeting people with different customs. Apart from the enrichment of those who participate in the project, we want to leave our mark on the local community by holding workshops open to the local public and giving talks and performances that show the possibilities offered by the Erasmus+ programme.
