Objectives

We will organize a Youth Exchange that we will bring together 20 young people(including participants with fewer opportunities with the focus on youth of migrant background) aged 18-26 years old participants in Spain for 8 activity days + 2 traveling days coming from the Netherlands, Norway, Spain and Bulgaria. Besides one group leader will be part of each national team. Two facilitators will be delivering the sessions, one from Bulgaria with extensive experience in using dance as tool of inclusion and emotional management, while the other from Spain with lots of experience in using non formal methods and delivering youth exchanges. One accompanying person is included in the Spanish group to assist with the implementation. The objectives of the project ‘’Shall We Dance?’’ are: -To provide young migrants with a safe space where they can explore and express their emotions through dance. -To foster emotional resilience and self-regulation skills in young migrants through creative movement practices. -To build a sense of community and connection among young migrants, helping reduce feelings of isolation. -To encourage cross-cultural exchange and understanding, using dance as a universal language. -To empower young migrants by helping them reconnect with their cultural identities through traditional and contemporary dance forms. -To increase awareness and break down stigmas related to emotional expression within diverse cultural contexts. -To develop sustainable programs that integrate dance into broader mental health support strategies for migrant youth in the EU. -To expand our networks for future collaborations.
