Objectives

With this project we want to respond to the concern and unease of many young Europeans in the face of the environmental degradation that is having increasingly evident effects on our planet and our lives. Organising an exchange with young people from other countries, with particular attention to the inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities from other contexts and the vulnerable young people who participate in our space on a daily basis, represents a very effective response to the problems highlighted. The exchange connects young people and creates opportunities for mutual growth, discussion, exchange of ideas, sharing of food and traditions. Through the programme of activities and workshops (plastic, glass, paper, textile, household goods, botanical garden and natural cosmetics) we provide young people with new green skills, which on the one hand improve their psychophysical well-being through group work and personal creativity, and on the other hand improve their employability in areas of work related to sustainable crafts and circular economy. Finally, by actively participating in the proposed activities, young people will be protagonists of an effective and positive model of sustainability and social inclusion, carried out by peers, which presupposes and encourages their participation, commitment and social activism. We want to inspire young people and awaken their participatory attitude through the activities and workshops, help them find the confidence and self-esteem to replicate the activities in their countries by involving other young people and thus create a connection between inclusive participatory projects that seek environmental sustainability. At the same time, the impacts of production and consumption will be reduced by recovering waste and transforming it into new creations. The project pursues the objectives of the Erasmus + programme as it is born from the concerns of young Europeans in relation to the environment and sustainability and the need for inclusion and participation of young people with fewer opportunities. These values are the foundations of our association, and are the basis of any activity, initiative or project that we carry out.
