The project aims to promote intercultural learning, personal development, and active citizenship through outdoor education and non-formal learning. By walking the Camino de Santiago, participants will develop resilience, teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving skills, which are essential for their personal and professional growth. The main objectives are: To foster a European identity by creating a space for cultural exchange and dialogue between young people from different backgrounds. To support inclusion and equal opportunities, ensuring that participants with fewer opportunities can fully engage in the experience. To promote sustainability and environmental awareness, encouraging responsible tourism, discussing environmental challenges such as deforestation and forest fires, and engaging in ecological actions like reforestation workshops. To encourage a healthy and active lifestyle, showing young people the benefits of outdoor activities, mental well-being, and physical endurance through adventure education. To strengthen key competences, including communication, intercultural understanding, and digital skills, by documenting and sharing their experiences. To empower young people to take initiative, preparing them to participate in future Erasmus+ projects, local youth initiatives, or community actions. From a youth work perspective, the project will use non-formal learning, peer education, and reflection activities to create a transformational learning experience. Participants will not only gain practical skills for life and work but also be encouraged to apply their knowledge in their communities, ensuring the project’s long-term impact.
