The project arose from the need to address issues related to social inclusion, non-formal education and youth empowerment through the use of theater as a transformative tool. Theater, as a public space for expression, exchange and debate, has historically demonstrated its ability to foster personal development, community cohesion and critical reflection on social issues. In this context, we want to provide young people with a creative and accessible means to express their concerns, construct their narratives and actively participate in their environment. Many communities face a deficit of spaces that allow young people to develop their social, emotional and creative skills, which are fundamental for their integration into society. The lack of access to alternative cultural and educational activities, especially among vulnerable youth, reinforces the dynamics of social exclusion and limits their ability to reach their potential. At the same time, the population's lack of knowledge of or distance from the performing arts, including theater, perpetuates inequalities in access to culture and the tools it offers for social transformation. Theater is presented as an exceptional resource to overcome these barriers. As an educational and cultural practice, it allows young people to explore their expressive, communicative and critical capacities, while fostering their self-confidence and self-esteem. Through activities such as improvisation, role-playing and collective creation, participants not only develop personal skills, but also learn to collaborate, understand diverse perspectives and address issues affecting their communities. In addition, by bringing their productions to the public sphere, their stories and concerns are made visible, generating spaces for dialogue and inclusion. With this project we seek to empower young people by providing them with tools so that they can face the challenges of their environment in an active and creative way. We want to foster their sense of belonging and their participation in the cultural and social life of their communities, promoting inclusion, cohesion and mutual understanding. The impact we hope to achieve includes the development of key competencies in young people, strengthening community interaction and raising awareness of relevant social issues through theater. This project is based on the conviction that theater not only transforms those who practice it, but also the communities that embrace it as a vehicle for change and collective reflection.
