The "Green Footprint: Exploring Our Impact" project aims to foster environmental awareness and develop sustainability skills among young people from Spain and Italy through a process of non-formal learning. The main objective is to empower participants to become "agents of change" (change makers) in their communities by reflecting on their ecological footprint and exploring ways to contribute to a more sustainable future. From the perspective of youth work practice, the project seeks to: • Promote active youth participation in the design and implementation of the exchange, following the principle of learning by doing. • Develop key competences such as environmental awareness, civic engagement, and intercultural communication. • Foster inclusion by providing learning opportunities to young people with fewer opportunities or limited experience in international mobility. • Strengthen intercultural cooperation between youth groups from different backgrounds, creating spaces for sharing ideas and best practices in sustainability. In the framework of a Youth Exchange about sustainability, through workshops, outdoor activities, and awareness-raising actions, young people will not only gain knowledge about the main topic, but also develop skills to apply these learnings in their daily lives and local communities.
