Our project seeks to promote cultural expression through innovative methodologies, contribute to reducing the gender gap in STEM, and enhance skills and competencies that increase youth employability. The specific objectives of the project are: - To bring together 24 young people from different backgrounds to promote cultural diversity, giving them the opportunity to learn about other cultures while living and working in groups with mixed nationalities. - To encourage cultural exchange and expression by recreating objects that represent the cultural identities of the participants. - To develop the digital skills of young people through innovative methodologies such as 3D design and printing. - To raise awareness about the gender gap in technological areas and promote equality by carrying out activities that make visible the role of women in science. - To connect tradition and innovation using modern technologies to interpret cultural heritage and preserve it with digital means. - To empower young people with new skills that increase their employability such as teamwork, creativity and problem solving. We will achieve our goals through activities in three phases: - Preparation: participants will carry out pre-tasks on the project theme before the exchange. We will include an online meeting prior to the meeting so that they can start getting to know each other. - Youth exchange: participants will carry out practical sessions where they will learn about 3D design and printing inspired by cultural models. We will organize a Hackathon and an exhibition where the 3D printed models will be displayed as results of the exchange. - Follow-up: participants will return to their countries and organize local activities to show the results to other young people in their communities. By fusing art and technology we want to encourage intercultural dialogue and appreciation for diversity. It will be very important that there is a gender balance, since one of the goals is to reduce the gender gap in STEM disciplines. We will contribute to this goal by highlighting the role of women in science and technology.
