Objectives

What the project aspires to achieve is personal, social, and cultural development through an experience in a rural environment, fostering positive change in young people, helping them connect with a healthier and more sustainable lifestyle. To achieve this, a healthy lifestyle will be promoted by teaching them the importance of a balanced diet that prioritizes seasonal and locally sourced products, physical activity, and emotional well-being as fundamental pillars of a fulfilling life. Similarly, they will be encouraged to disconnect from technology and reconnect with nature, raising their awareness about the importance of caring for the environment through practical workshops and showing them small changes they can make in their daily lives that will have a positive impact on their surroundings. Through this experience, they will also develop communication skills with other young people, learning from one another, appreciating cultural diversity, exchanging experiences and stories from their countries of origin, and meeting people who already lead a sustainable lifestyle. In this way, we aim to motivate and empower them, offering opportunities to reflect on their values and encouraging them to become agents of change in their respective communities. Additionally, the young participants in this project will improve their English skills, as all activities will be conducted in English, which they will use to communicate with one another. This will also help increase their confidence in speaking in public. We hope that the young participants return with a new perspective, motivated to make changes in their daily lives and their communities, thereby positively influencing their environment. In summary, the objectives of this project are: - To raise awareness among young people about the importance of a healthy lifestyle, physical activity, and good nutrition for their physical and mental well-being. - To promote physical activity among the participants. - To increase their connection with nature. - To make young people aware of the importance of rural environments in our lives and the wealth of resources they offer, even though life in the countryside is often overlooked. - To instill sustainable and environmentally respectful habits in society through the influence of participants and the dissemination of the project. - To improve young people’s knowledge of caring for gardens and animals. - To teach participants how to prepare products such as cheese, butter, yogurt, wine, etc., in an ecological manner and within their own homes. - To promote environmentalism, respect for the environment, and a harmonious relationship with nature. - To offer young people a unique and enriching experience that they will remember for the rest of their lives, along with lasting friendships with the other participants.
