Our project is designed to give young people a deeper understanding of the ecological problems facing humanity. We also hope to inspire them to take an interest in the topic and to educate themselves more. We will address the environmental issue from a global point of view, dealing with topics such as resource depletion, pollution, climate change, marine plastic pollution, pesticide abuse, soil depletion, among others. To do this, we will revisit classic popular science books such as 'Silent Spring', 'The Limits to Growth', 'An Inconvenient Truth' and more. During the project, the example of the coordinating organization is important. The organization will be done by reducing the environmental impact. Participants will receive reusable cups and public transport cards. They will be encouraged to travel to Alicante using sustainable means of travel. We will do all this by applying the principles of non-formal education, so that the participants' abilities will also be improved. They are expected to improve their public speaking skills, foreign language expression, analytical skills, cooperation skills, international teamwork and, of course, a greater awareness of environmental issues. We will also introduce 'gamification of teaching' techniques. These techniques learn or imitate the rewards and techniques of video games and apply them to teaching. The young people will be able to use these new teaching techniques in their local work once they return to their communities. The aim is for them to apply this knowledge and good practices in their daily lives, and in their activism in local organisations, improving their societies' awareness of environmental issues.
