The Learning Equals project aims to disseminate knowledge and quality training to professionals in the youth field in relation to gender equality and the promotion of values such as respect for all people. At Socialty we are aware first hand of the structural problems that affect society indiscriminately. One of these major problems is still after millennia the inequality between people and in this case between genders. What we want is that thanks to education in values (values that the European Union defends), this inequality is reduced and that together we manage to create a better, fairer and more egalitarian world. Professionals working with young people who are selected to participate in our project will have the opportunity to acquire not only new knowledge about the history of feminism, prevention of discrimination, gender stereotypes... but also new skills with which they will be able to put this knowledge into practice. In this way, they will be able to devise their own youth-focused activities and dynamics with this new information as a basis. We are fully committed to the idea that quality training should be available to all people regardless of their status or background. With Learning Equals, we will foster the inclusion of all people across Europe and with your help we will be able to promote social change and access to education among young people. Therefore, our objectives with this project are: To provide quality training on gender equality and the promotion of values such as respect between people, for youth workers: Thanks to our project, what we hope to achieve is that youth workers from different associations in Europe can access quality training that revolves around gender equality and respect between people. Within this training, issues such as the violence of gender stereotypes and the categorisation of people, sex education in adolescents, the prevention of gender violence or the history of feminism and pioneering women in its theorisation will be analysed. In addition, the educational methods we will use will combine both theoretical and practical activities in order to offer a complete training that is as useful as possible. To offer tools for social change to youth professionals and to help them develop their skills: With this aforementioned training as a basis, we expect these professionals to be able to devise their own activities and dynamics and apply it to their future projects in order to create a positive impact on society. In addition to theoretical knowledge, they will gain a range of practical skills such as conflict resolution, intercultural mediation or the development of critical thinking. These skills will be useful in both personal and professional contexts and in dealing with problems that may arise among young people in their local communities. Create multicultural exchange networks of youth professionals from different European countries: With Learning Equals, participants will have the opportunity to travel to another country than the one they come from and get to know another culture and other ways of life. Together with other people of different nationalities, they will form a multicultural space for the exchange of ideas and knowledge. This will greatly enrich them on a personal and professional level and foster the spirit of cooperation between different countries in Europe. Help to make European initiatives and their contribution to the education of young people more visible: In addition to making our project more visible with the help of our partners, we will make visible the other initiatives promoted by the European Union in the field of gender equality and the promotion of other rights. We will also promote the opportunities offered by the Erasmus+ programme and encourage others to participate and be part of active citizenship. This dissemination will be carried out through social media and websites, where our participants will also be able to actively share their own experiences.
