The Resilience and Regeneration project seeks to achieve several key goals for youth work, focusing on ecological awareness and training of youth workers. Our goals are: Fostering ecological skills: We want youth workers to acquire practical tools in permaculture to promote sustainable lifestyles. This training will allow them to implement concrete projects with young people, inspiring them to care for the environment. Developing environmental awareness: We seek to increase participants' understanding of their connection with nature. Through the "Work that reconnects" approach, we will facilitate spaces where they can share experiences and reflect on how their actions impact the environment. This will help cultivate greater empathy and responsibility towards the environment. Fostering active participation: We will promote practical activities and the use of social networks so that participants become agents of change. We want them to feel motivated to share what they have learned and involve others in their initiatives. Strengthening collaborative networks: We will establish partnerships with youth workers, local organisations, schools and businesses to create a community committed to sustainability that lasts beyond the project. Promoting emotional wellbeing: Through “Work that reconnects”, we will offer tools to help young people manage anxiety and stress related to the climate crisis. This approach will not only allow them to deal with their emotions, but will also foster their emotional resilience and a deeper connection with nature. Increasing the visibility of youth work: We want to make youth work in sustainability better known, collaborating with local media to inspire more people to get involved.
