Objectives

One of the objectives of the Don Bosco Confederation is to promote social transformation by creating an active and critical citizenship, favouring youth protagonism with a critical view of social needs and providing solutions in their immediate environment. Compared to previous generations, today's young people show a great capacity for resilience and open-mindedness to change, demonstrating their commitment to improving society, they continue to hope to make the world a better place. Today's young people are concerned about the future, but see themselves as part of the solution. Through our member organisations throughout Spain, we reach approximately 59,700 beneficiaries, including both the young people we target and the volunteers who accompany them, who are also young people. In order for young people to be the driving force for social change, it is essential for them to receive high-quality professional support from the technical staff, who support and train the volunteers in their work. This relationship creates a space for constant feedback, in which technical skills are complemented by the sensitivity and commitment of youth volunteering. To this end, the technical knowledge and good practices aimed at youth in the field of leisure time and/or at risk need constant updating. It is necessary that different entities with common aims generate synergy. Networking between different entities that share common objectives allows to generate synergies that enrich the socio-educational intervention. In the case of the Confederation Don Bosco and Salesiani per il Sociale, there is already a history of collaboration in favour of youth, but this project will allow to strengthen it through the mobility of technical staff and volunteers, fostering mutual learning and transfer of good practices. General objective: To promote youth protagonism, as well as the improvement of employability and the development of key competences in young people, empowering them as agents of social change in their communities. Specific objectives: To generate synergies with other entities that focus on working with youth at risk. To offer spaces for learning and cohesion to technical staff and volunteers that facilitate the improvement of youth care. To get to know the different realities of the entities and the good practices carried out.
