The job shadowing project in Spain is designed to address key challenges in youth work practice while fostering professional development, knowledge exchange, and capacity building. The main objectives include: Inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities: a core aim is to deepen understanding and gain hands-on experience in strategies for including young people with disabilities and other marginalised groups. By shadowing Spanish civil organisations with expertise in this field, the project will identify best practices, innovative approaches, and inclusive methodologies that can be adapted for use in Hungary. The goal is to develop more accessible and inclusive youth programmes that support the active participation and social integration of young people with disabilities. Engagement of young people in youth work activities: another key objective is to explore effective methods for involving young people in youth work projects. By learning from Spanish NGOs with strong track records in youth engagement, the project will identify strategies for attracting and retaining the interest of young people, particularly those facing barriers to participation. Understanding these success factors will help strengthen youth work initiatives in Hungary, fostering greater empowerment, leadership, and community involvement. Collaboration with rural communities and governments: strengthening partnerships between youth organisations, rural communities, and local governments within European-funded projects is another focus. By studying the approaches of Spanish NGOs that have successfully engaged rural communities and government entities in Erasmus+ projects, the project aims to identify effective strategies for partnership-building, resource mobilisation, and sustainable initiatives. This will facilitate knowledge exchange and networking between Hungarian and Spanish stakeholders, enhancing rural communities’ ability to participate in European youth initiatives and fostering regional development. The project will contribute to the professional growth of youth workers, improve the inclusivity and effectiveness of youth work practices, and strengthen cooperation within the European youth sector. Through experiential learning, knowledge-sharing, and cross-cultural exchange, the project aims to promote positive youth development, social inclusion, and community engagement, aligning with the broader objectives of youth work in both Hungary and Spain.
