Objectives

Inclusive Futures aims to achieve several objectives from the perspective of youth work practice. We seek to strengthen the skills and capacities of youth workers to effectively address the specific needs of the young people they work with daily. The focus is on equipping participants with methods of emotional support, intercultural competencies, communication skills, and tools to create more inclusive environments. The goal is for youth workers to be better prepared to provide adequate support to young people belonging to minorities, in vulnerable socioeconomic contexts, or in situations of migration and refuge. The project also intends to promote the exchange of good practices in working with young people. Special emphasis will be placed on the inclusion program "The Avatar's Journey," carried out by the Despierta Escuela Consciente Association and the City Council of Tías, which addresses the social reintegration and support of young immigrants who engage in prostitution in Lanzarote. Through this exchange of experiences, the aim is to enrich the work of the participants and foster an environment conducive to mutual learning and inspiration. IF also aims to promote the creation of networks of youth workers. The idea is to raise the quality of programs and activities aimed at young people within the participating organizations. This network is expected to generate a space for continuous "Mentoring and Support," providing opportunities for training and accompaniment, as well as resources and spaces to share good practices online. Finally, IF seeks to provide tools and knowledge to improve the internal work of organizations and the professional skills of youth workers. This will include the development of digital competencies necessary for the work of youth workers, such as the use of tools like Venngage, Storytelling, Lightroom, and Canva for image editing. Through these objectives, the project aspires to strengthen youth work, train youth workers as leaders and agents of change, and generate a positive and sustainable impact on society. In doing so, it is expected that participants will be better equipped to address the complexities and challenges they face in their daily work with young people who suffer from diverse complex social contexts such as: belonging to minorities, immigrants, refugees, socioeconomic problems, etc. Therefore, the overall objective of IF is to train youth workers and organizations in working with excluded people, providing them with new tools to do a better job and provide greater support within their organizations to the young people who come to them. Specific objectives of IF are: Develop skills in youth workers in working with excluded or vulnerable young people Improve the digital skills of youth workers Exchange good practices Create a network of youth workers
