TACT - "Theatre Tools for Awareness and Community Teaching" is a training course aimed at youth workers that seeks to strengthen their competencies through methodologies based in performing arts, specifically in sensory theatre language and tools from social and participatory theatre. The project, which will take place over 6 training days plus two travel days in September 2025, also includes two online follow-up sessions to reinforce the implementation of learning in local contexts. The participation of 25 youth workers is expected. Specific objectives: Provide youth workers (educators, social workers, volunteers, members of youth organizations...) with innovative and creative theatrical tools that improve their ability to connect and communicate effectively with young people, especially on sensitive issues such as violence prevention and discrimination. Develop youth workers' skills to create safe and participatory spaces where young people can explore and express their experiences related to discrimination, racism, and sexism. Provide practical theatre-based methodologies that enable youth workers to address hate speech prevention and promote intercultural coexistence in their communities. Strengthen youth workers' capacity to design and implement activities that foster social cohesion and critical thinking among young people, using theatrical techniques as a tool for social transformation. Enhance peaceful coexistence among young people from different cultural backgrounds through theatrical techniques. Offer tools for youth professionals with the aim of also inviting adults to consider young people's desires and opinions as important and valid, as well as to include their proposals in shaping the present and future. Create a European network of youth workers who share and develop good practices in using performing arts as a tool for youth work against discrimination. From the perspective of youth work practice, these objectives seek to enrich youth workers' tools, allowing them to address complex issues in a more dynamic, participatory, and meaningful way for young people. A central element of the project will be the creation of specific spaces for professional exchange among youth workers from different countries. These moments will allow sharing experiences, jointly analyzing different work realities, and developing application strategies adapted to each context. To ensure the sustainability and applicability of the training, specific time will be dedicated to planning the implementation of learned methodologies, considering the challenges and opportunities of each environment. Additionally, the subsequent online follow-up system will accompany this implementation process, offering continuous support and facilitating the exchange of implementation experiences among participants. The methodological approach of the project, in addition to using artistic tools from performing arts, will focus on non-formal education. Working methods will include theatrical tools, team building, working groups, simulations, reflection spaces around each entity's own practices, workshops, evaluation sessions, and follow-up activities.
