Objectives

As a partnership, Papaya sees the implementation of Brake. Take. Make. as a transformative project that seeks to address the critical situation (identified after 2 years of direct contact with the context and the target audience) the lack of rapport between teachers and students (adults and youth) where the entrepreneurial mindset through Design Thinking, is not only a tool that serves to solve problems but to improve the educational context and the results of youth in their professional development. Social challenges, as well as the aforementioned growing disconnect between teachers and students, demand the formation of leaders capable of navigating a constantly changing world and driving sustainable change in their communities. By offering inclusive and motivating educational opportunities, Papaya proposes to equip the participants of this training with essential tools and skills for effective and empathetic leadership to improve the rapport between teachers and students. Through the training “Break. Take. Make.” training, we seek to deepen understanding of key concepts related to entrepreneurship and its impact on the community, especially in the education setting. We will guide participants to explore their purpose and mission as educators and youth workers, cultivating empathy and building bridges of trust through interactive activities. Our goal is to empower individuals to assume their social responsibilities and lead with integrity and purpose. The project focuses on improving communication, initiative taking and creative skills, fostering collaboration within teams. We aim to create a culture of responsible education that generates positive and lasting results in Cantabria and in the participating communities. The specific objectives of the training are: Foster an Entrepreneurial Mindset: To help educators inspire young people to adopt an entrepreneurial mindset that will enable them to be agents of change in their communities. Cultivate Empathy: Through Design Thinking dynamics, enable trainers to better understand the emotions and needs of young people, promoting an environment of trust that strengthens the rapport between teachers and students. Promote Educational Innovation: Provide participants with tools to design relevant and engaging learning experiences, connecting education with the real world. Develop Employability Skills: Offer practical tools that enable educators to assist young people in acquiring skills valued in the labor market. Foster Inclusion and Social Cohesion: Promote an environment that values diversity and collaboration, helping youth work together to address community challenges. From a youth work perspective, the “Break. Take. Make.” project focuses on developing skills and knowledge among youth through training activities that promote their personal and professional growth. It aims to empower youth by providing opportunities to enhance their skills, gain valuable experiences, and foster a sense of community and collaboration. Ultimately, we seek to strengthen the capacity of educators and organizations to effectively support youth, creating a positive impact on their well-being and future opportunities.
