The Equal Play project is a TC dedicated to fostering social inclusion through sports, providing innovative tools for youth workers to promote values of equality, diversity, and accessibility in sports activities. Through the participation of young people from Spain, Greece, Serbia, Portugal, and Ukraine, the project focuses on eliminating barriers that have historically limited the participation of certain groups in sports, especially people with disabilities, minorities, and young people at risk of social exclusion. To achieve this, the project will enhance the skills of youth workers by equipping them with inclusive methodologies and practical strategies that allow them to design and facilitate adapted sports activities, as well as promote equitable access to Paralympic, adapted, and minority sports disciplines. One of the fundamental pillars of Equal Play is to raise awareness and educate both young people and their communities about the importance of sports as a tool for social transformation, promoting respect, integration, and equity in all forms. Through a series of workshops, transnational meetings, specialized training sessions, and inclusive sports events, the project aims to generate a lasting impact on the perception of diversity in sports and to consolidate cooperation networks among youth workers from the participating countries. Likewise, Equal Play aspires to create an environment where every young person, regardless of their physical, cultural, or social abilities, can develop their potential through sports activities, strengthening their self-esteem and fostering social cohesion. The implementation of innovative pedagogical strategies and the adaptation of infrastructures and materials will ensure that activities are accessible to all, promoting equal opportunities and reducing existing inequalities in sports participation. Throughout the project, studies and research will be conducted to assess the impact of the initiatives developed, with the goal of generating replicable models that can be applied in other contexts and countries. Additionally, efforts will be made to create guides and training materials that serve as references for coaches, educators, and professionals in the sports and social fields, ensuring that the knowledge gained during the project’s development can be used long-term to continue promoting inclusion in sports. With this approach, Equal Play aims not only to improve the competencies of youth workers in the field of inclusive sports but also to contribute to the empowerment of young participants, enabling them to become agents of change within their communities and promoting a fairer, more equitable, and accessible sports model for all. The objectives of this project are: -Promote inclusion through sport -Give visibility to adapted sports -Provide healthy leisure alternatives -Know the social contexts of other cultures
