The Mycelium Training Course arises from the urgent need to transform youth work through a holistic approach, addressing both the challenges faced by professionals in this field and the structural difficulties within organizations and society as a whole. We find ourselves in a context where the mental and emotional well-being of young people and youth workers is increasingly affected by over-digitalization, ideological polarization, and the lack of tools for conflict management and effective communication. Mycelium aims to tackle these issues from a socio-affective perspective, fostering care, inclusion, and sustainability in youth work. The main goal of Mycelium is to equip participants with innovative tools and methodologies that enhance their professional practice and improve the internal well-being of their organizations. The training will be practical and experiential, combining learning by doing with group dynamics, art, play, and connection with nature. It will not only focus on technical skills but also on fundamental aspects such as emotional management, non-violent communication, intersectionality, and positive conflict transformation. Through this approach, the project's objectives are: - Providing concrete solutions to the current challenges in youth work by integrating methodologies that create safe, resilient, and healthy environments for both young people and professionals. - Building a European network around care in youth work, facilitating the exchange of experiences and fostering professional communities that prioritize well-being and cooperation. - Equipping participants with facilitation and emotional management tools, enabling them to address conflicts constructively and foster effective communication within their organizations and communities. - Translating intersectionality from discourse to practice, promoting strategies that truly integrate diversity without fostering exclusion or polarization. - Promoting integral sustainability in youth work, ensuring that the methodologies and tools shared are replicable in diverse contexts, generating long-term impact in participants’ communities. - Implementing socio-affective and artistic methodologies to enhance learning, using theater, dance, writing, and painting as key tools for emotional exploration, group cohesion, and social transformation. - Developing conflict transformation tools, training participants to prevent, mediate, and manage challenging situations in youth work. - Fostering a culture of peace and dialogue, creating spaces where ideological differences can coexist, and cooperation is encouraged over confrontation. - Revaluing the relationship with nature and outdoor learning, using natural environments as catalysts for emotional well-being, reflection, and community connection. Mycelium is not just a training course; it is a space for collective transformation, where participants will experiment, reflect, and apply tools that contribute to improving their daily work. From conflict management to group facilitation, artistic expression, and working with nature, the project offers a transformative learning experience that enhances personal and professional growth, ensuring that each participant can take these learnings back to their context and generate real change in European youth work.
