The main objective of Change the Frame is to empower youth workers through storytelling, providing them with the necessary tools to build and share their own narratives, with a focus on current eco-social challenges and the creation of more inclusive and sustainable futures. Through an experiential methodology that combines practices such as roleplaying, theatrical expression, creative writing, music or collage, we seek to promote the active participation of young people in the development of their community, encourage critical thinking about the social problems we face and provide them with the necessary skills to influence their environment through new narratives. Through Change the Frame, we also seek to provide youth workers with narrative strategies that allow them to strengthen their educational and social work. To this end, we set the following objectives: To explore the knowledge and construction of personal narratives: to help participants identify and analyze the stories that shape their self-perception. Through reflective activities, participants will learn to generate spaces for self-exploration in their community where they can identify dominant narratives and redefine limiting narratives. Understanding and questioning narratives on eco-social issues: Encourage a critical reading of the predominant discourses on global issues that concern them, analyzing how they influence society and how they perpetuate inequality or injustice. We will provide youth workers with tools and dynamics to foster critical thinking and analysis of narratives on issues such as climate change or xenophobia. Acquire tools to transform narrative frameworks: Through role-playing activities and interactive discussions, we will teach participants storytelling and framing techniques to challenge harmful narrative frameworks and promote more inclusive narratives. Encourage the creation of narratives about alternative futures: We want to enhance the ability to imagine and communicate transformative visions to face current challenges with creativity and hope. To this end, we will have several sessions aimed at exploring utopias and creating desirable horizons that promote feasible action plans. Developing communication and public speaking skills: Providing techniques to tell stories with impact, improving the ability of youth workers to connect with their audiences and convey messages effectively by working on verbal and non-verbal communication. The project focuses on strengthening youth participation, promoting non-formal learning and international cooperation, generating a safe space for reflection, exchange and personal growth of the participants. Through the practical experience of facilitation in the project in Rascafría and the workshops that they will carry out in their local communities, we seek that the participants discover themselves in their role as facilitators and acquire tools that innovate their way of energizing groups. With this Training Course, youth workers will obtain tools and techniques of storytelling and generation of new narratives with which they will be able to promote greater self-awareness among young people and help society to face current challenges, generating desirable futures through discourse.
