Objectives

The main objective of the Beyond The Wall project is to explore and learn how to use climbing as an educational tool to work with young people who are in situations of vulnerability or have fewer opportunities. The specific objectives that will guide our actions are as follows: Training for Youth Workers: We aim to train youth workers on the benefits of therapeutic climbing, teaching them how to use this practice as a tool to improve the mental health of young people. This includes providing them with the necessary tools and knowledge to effectively implement climbing in their daily work. Exchange of Good Practices: We will encourage the exchange of strategies and experiences among organizations that already use sports, particularly climbing, as an educational tool. This exchange will be crucial for developing a more effective approach tailored to the needs of vulnerable youth. Creation of Networks: Our goal is to create a strong network of associations and professionals committed to using climbing as an educational tool. This network will allow participants to collaborate, share resources, and support each other in their efforts to implement therapeutic climbing in their communities. Development of New Educational Tools: Through climbing, we want to develop innovative educational tools that address issues such as frustration, fear, emotional management, and self-confidence. These tools will help young people face and overcome emotional and psychological challenges, promoting their personal development and well-being. Promotion of Healthy Lifestyles: Finally, the project aims to promote healthy lifestyles, both physical and mental, through the practice of climbing. By engaging young people in outdoor activities and encouraging physical activity, we seek to contribute to their overall health and emotional well-being.
