Almenara, which comes from Arabic and means "place where there is light", or lighthouse, and refers to the fire that was lit in towers to warn of something, is a project that aims to demonstrate the potential of education in nature, sport and social theatre in the prevention and fight against racist and xenophobic hate speech. The main objectives of the project are: To collect, analyse and make visible local people's perceptions of hate speech in rural areas. To foster intercultural dialogue and empathy between young migrants and natives through experiential and participatory activities. Promote sustainable mobility and sport in nature through activities such as cycling and hiking, encouraging direct contact with local communities and their context. Empower young people to become agents of change in their communities, using forum theatre as a tool for reflection and action. Create networks between participating territories to share good practices and solutions to combat hate speech.
